Christmas is the story of the birth of Jesus, and it is also the story of the outsiders, the broken, the weary, the scared, the grieving.

It’s the story of light in the darkness and hope in despair. It's a story for the whole world, and it's a story we want to help you share.

With printed and digital resources, craft activities, and animations for personal reflection, there's something for everyone. So take a look around, download what you want, order what you need, and don't forget to tell us your plans - we want to hear your stories of community and welcome this Christmas.

However you are going to tell the story of Jesus this Christmas, our resources will help your community to engage with the Bible's life words and find their own place in the story.

Travellers, outasts, refugees, and kings - jouney with the this Advent

Over on Instagram, our friends at VerseFirst are following the journeys of the Nativity characters - how their stories started and how they ended. Follow along and share with your church community. Perfect for youth groups looking to start a conversation and engage deeper with the story. You can download a specially designed poster, which has space for your church and service details, here:

Drawing people in

A Story for the Whole World

The Bible’s telling of Jesus coming into the world harmonises with the common desires and longings of humans throughout history, and the shared human ache and yearning for something more. It’s a story for the ages. It’s a story for today. And it’s a story for the whole world. Using patterns and designs inspired by cultures around the world, A Story for the Whole World tells the story of Jesus' birth in the Bible's own words, inviting you, your community and indeed the whole world to find a place in it.

Outside In

Christmas is a time of drawing in those on the edges, and of welcome. Who are the people in your community who are in need not only of the story of Christmas found in the Bible, but also into the story of Christmas found in your church, in your friendship, and in your welcome?

Those on the edges of the story are drawn into the heart of the action - the shepherds, the kings, Joseph, Mary...the refugees in your community, those in your church with additional needs? OUTSIDE/IN tells the story of the birth of Jesus through those God chose to include - the outcasts, the ignored, the frightened. It speaks to people today who might feel some of those things, and it provides a challenge to churches to welcome marginalised people within their own communities.

The animation is available with BSL signing (as above) and with Makaton signing, and can be streamed in your services and shared with your community for personal reflection this Christmas. There is a printed resource available that uses a larger text size to aid people experiencing sight difficulties, and Bible verses from Biblica's NIrV (the New International Reader's Version) for simplicity.

It's a booklet. It's an animation. It's a welcome.

The True Light

For some, Christmas is a struggle, and feels very different to the fairy lit, snowy wonder that a lot of people experience. For people who might be struggling with grief, mental illness, loneliness, exhaustion, disappointment...The True Light is a resource that speaks light into the dark places.

The True Light comes, and its brilliance finds you, wherever and however you are. This Christmas, how does the True Light find you? The animation below has been designed for use alongside the words contained in the Bible from John 1:9-14 in the New Living Translation. Check out all the animations in this series - where does the True Light find you this Christmas?
